Hi, i have a new issue with the 3D manipulator on versions 2.77 and 2.78. When in object mode it no longer works at all. Its displays, but when i try the transform controls none of them constraint to any axis, i cannot rotate or scale either. It works in 2.76b but im no longer working with that version.

I have noticed that if i deactivate Sensei Format it all starts working again. How can this be fixed?

I also noticed this issue also when i enable certain addons. The first one being the Blender Light Studio plugin. The affects even version 2.76 when turned on. As soon as i enable it the 3D manipulator stops working. However when i deactivate Sensei all is working fine on 2.76.

On versions 2.77 & 2.78 i don’t have this plugin installed but the issue remains. I turned off even other 3rd party plugin see if they were the issue but it made no difference.

I attached this jpg of an error i often notice when enabling various other addons. Not sure if this is part of the issue.

The type of error you’re describing with the transform widget is not, and can not, be related to any code found within the Sensei Format addon. This is necessarily an issue with other addons, your personal settings or something with your computer or possibly the build of Blender you’re using (if unofficial not downloaded from blender.org/download). For my sanity and yours, let’s not bring outdated versions into this though, let’s focus on Blender 2.78 right now. Also, the bug you report at the bottom is there because you’re using Blender 2.76 with probably a newer version of Sensei Format, so the old version of Blender is making calls to code that it does not have access to.

Try downloading the latest version of Sensei Format from here: blenderforums.org/store. Make sure you’re using the latest, official, stable release of Blender from blender.org/download. Then go to File > Sensei Format > Manual Update, and select the newest Sensei Format zip file you downloaded (making sure the file is still zipped when you go to install it).

Try that first, If it fails, you’ll need to make sure you have backups of all your custom imported addons (if any), you may wish to make a list of installed addons as well under File > User Preferences > Add-ons tab > “Enabled” category. Then do a full uninstall, and if at all possible, access your computer’s Blender settings folder (you’ll have to look up this location on your mac… it’s out there though) and remove all numbered version folders of Blender you find in this settings folder… i.e. 2.76 or 2.77 etc…

Latest official install of Blender, and follow install instructions in the second video of the Blender Crash Course playlist.
