Hey! I just discovered another feature that doesn’t work with Power Select. Holding “D” to draw annotations. I was trying to do some retopology with BSurfaces addon, which relies on annotation drawing to create new geometry, and I thought Power Select would compliment that workflow a lot since I can select and tweak on the fly while retopologizing. Sadly, holding D to “spring-load” into the annotation tool and back to Power Select on release doesn’t work.

I tried different settings in trying to make it work, but the “power_select.select_move” hotkey interferes with it. Apparently, it only considers modifiers that are coded within Power Select, so it doesn’t consider “D” as a modifier (I’m not a coder so I don’t know what I’m saying). Setting “power_select.select_move” mode to “Nothing” instead of “Press” automatically restores the functionality, but it no longer selects and moves at the same time. I got mild success by adding “D” as a hotkey for the annotation tool, and activating “Repeat” (shown in the picture), but it’s far from perfect as D is now taken from the keyboard real estate, and the annotation tool doesn’t exist automatically when releasing D.

Adding the gpencil.annotate hotkey set to D to the 3D View (Global) keymap (and nowhere else without repeat checked) works fine for me. Did you add it to the 3D View (Global) keymap?

if I uncheck “Repeat”, then I have to release D and press it each time instead of holding it and drawing, so I prefer keeping it on. Also, I don’t want to take “D” away from the keyboard :s holding D+Right Mouse to erase annotations works fine. I hope that it is possible to find a solution to this in upcoming releases. Best of luck.
