      Simple question:
Is there any way to duplicate a LINKED collection without having to redo all the visibility toggle acorss all render layers?

      Little context:
I’m working on a sci-fi scene were multiple starfighter are being blown up at one point. I can’t use particles, because i want independant movement.

My models are neatly sorted in a highly organised in a  set of collection folder and sub folder across different render layers for composition ( One layer for the thrust , one for the main model, one for the cannon muzzle fire and so on). And, of course, only what is required for the rendering is shown in each layer ( rest is either turned off, or put as holdout material).

It,s all fine, but when i tried to make a linked duplicate collection of my starfighter model, all visibility tags are back to being all ON in the new collection. Across ALL renders layers. I’d have to manually adjust them all over again. And given that i want to duplicate around 30 times. It,s gonna be maddening.

So, is there a way to tell blender: Duplicate that collection, but keep the setting as they were, don’t turn everthing on.

Anyway, any advice would be MOST welcome!
