can you make your principle BSDF to where you can save your settings on it?

If you’re using Blender 3.4 and on, you can in-effect, create custom nodes by  selecting a node after adjusting its settings, give it a name in the Power Node menu, then press the down arrow next to the name to save it into your library. Then, any time you want that node you can right-click and type the name of the node in the search menu and it will show up. It’s technically a node group at that point but  all its options will look the same. You can press “Ungroup Nodes” if you want it to turn back into just a regular node. The node library  search feature is only available in Blender 3.4 and forward, and unfortunately that new Blender feature requires that the node group also be saved while Blender 3.4 and on is being used or it won’t show up in the node search menu.
